Christmas is Coming

Larry ChristmasAs the weather starts to change and a chill is in the air, we are once again making plans for a very special Christmas celebration for people with disabilities. We hope that you will want to help make this celebration full of warmth and joy through a charitable donation to the Santa Fund at CETC.

Who says there’s no such thing as Santa Claus? This is the 12th year that Janet Flinders (Mrs. Santa) will dedicate countless volunteer hours fundraising, shopping, wrapping gifts, and checking each wish list twice. When you see the joy on each person’s face as they open their presents, you just have to believe in the magic.

This special day is only possible through generous donations from the community. Our community can make extraordinary things happen. Please help Mrs. Santa this year by sending your donation to :

Thank you!

United Way Day of Caring

United Way, Thermo Fisher, and Steven’s Heneger came to CETC and provided some great volunteer service. They cleaned our buses, helped organize our shed, and painted picnic tables. We really appreciate all you did! We’d like to give a BIG THANKS to everyone who so selflessly gave of their time.

Thank you!

Bike with Brent 2014

We’re only a few weeks away from this year’s Bike with Brent! We’re so excited for this event. We anticipate this being our best year yet! The main feature is a bike ride with Brent Carpenter. We just go about a mile and a half around the block. Those who want to bike longer can go around the block again and again (Brent usually does)! And if you don’t bike, you can walk, or even push a stroller or a wheechair. The event will also include a bike giveaway (bike donated by Joyride Bikes), a bike polo game between law enforcement and firefighters, bounce houses for the kids, face painting, pie eating contests, food, games, and more!

Register here or at CETC 275 W 400 S, Logan.

Details of the Event

  • Location: Willow Park (500 W 700 S, Logan)
  • Date: Friday, June 13, 2014
  • Time: Check-in and day of registration starts at 9:30

Great Rewards!

Smiths

We just received the first report from the Smith’s Community Rewards Program. We are excited to know that 22 households have linked their rewards cards to CETC and the points are starting to add up. Our first reward is a check from Smith’s for $56.43.

As more households sign up and shop with Smiths, the rewards will continue to grow. Please encourage your families, friends, co-workers, etc. to link their Smith’s Rewards Card to CETC and support training for people with disabilities.

See this post for instructions on linking your card, or visit the Smith’s website.

Smith’s Community Reward Program

SMITH’S IS PUTTING COMMUNITY FIRST!

smithsSmith’s is putting community first in 2014 by offering a Community Reward Program to help local non-profit organizations. You can be a partner in this effort by linking your Smith’s Reward Card to Cache Employment and Training Center (NPO #86455). Each time you shop at any Smith’s location, points will be added to the CETC account with absolutely no loss of points to you! Then once a quarter, Smith’s will donate money to CETC based on the number of points accumulated. It’s that simple!

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP:

  • If you don’t have a Smith’s Reward Card, get one! They are available at the Customer Service Desk at any Smith’s
  • If you signed up for the rewards program, but use your phone number at the register and don’t know your card number, call 800-576-4377, select option 4, and get your number.
